Jason Robinson serves on the staff of The Navigators Collegiate Ministry at The University of Minnesota. He serves in the areas of leadership/personal development and sports outreach. He has over 25 years of experience building leaders and multicultural organizations from the deep south to the upper midwest. He also has a mentoring/discipling ministry known as "The SportMentor" that has invested in athletes and leaders around the world both in person and online.
Jason believes the late teenage to early 20's years are some of the most influential years in a person's development. It was during those years that he found his purpose in life. He credits solid mentors/disciple makers who crossed racial & cultural barriers and stepped into his life to point him towards Christ’s purpose for his life. It is because of those people that he has dedicated his life to "doing the same for others"
Jason has emphasized the call of 2 Timothy 2:2. "And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also" to empower others and reproduce themselves. This foundation is what drives Jason to cross racial and cultural barriers and build leaders and organizations that specialize in helping others reach their full potential in life.
Whether it’s a small campus ministry or a large church/organization serving thousands, the focus has been on one-to-one or life-to-lifeTM relationships that help individuals discover their God-given purpose in life. That purpose is found by coming alongside people, stepping into their lives and journeying with them towards their future.
